    WinXp Home, Sp2

I just bought this software and have a couple questions of anyone familar
    with this program......

For a "normal" backup, i created a backup of the "C" drive and system state.
Not to bad, from several Gig to less that 300 meg with compression. But,
apparently there is no way to restore it in the event windows won't boot
    or am i missing something???

For the Disaster Recovery portion - This creates a full copy (image) of all the
    Hd's on your system.

    1. Is there an option to create an image of the "C" drive only under the
disaster recovery program???? (I cant find it).

    2. Why would they need to have you enter the windows product key to be
able to create a HD image??

    3. Why would they need to have you mount either your recovery CD (OEM)
or the actual WinXp CD to be able to create a HD image??

Actually, i have one of each of these CD's. The OEM recovery CD is useless
to me now, since i have made so many hardware changes (I dont want to
use it in any recovery procedure). When (not if) i cannot get the system to
boot up properly and i cant do a restore (hopefully from Backup MYPC),
then my plan is to start over using the original (full) MS WinXP Home, SP2
    CD.

An e-mail to stompsoft support has so far been a deadend.

    Thank you,
    savagcl

    Answers to your questions?

Savagegl, did you ever get any responses to your Backup MyPC questions? If so, from whom? I need some help with that program, too.

Backup my PC users manual PDF file

    From page 75
I do not think this is designed to create a disk image, it is designed to create a copy of your data which can be restored after you reinstall XP and all your software.

    aks,

no, i never got a response (big surprise there!!!).

And i think oshwyn5 is right. I have since removed this software and now it
sits on shelf, protecting the shelf from getting dusty. It will stay there until
i get tired of seeing it, then garbage can.

    I'm back to acronis TI.
