    Hello xjdavid,

The backup does not support backing up directly to a cd burner. Have to use a two step process.

Backup to a file first, and then copy that backup file to a cd-r or cd-rw. If you need to restore, you can do so directly from the cd. For this to work, you must ensure that your files can fit on one cd because neither the backup nor the restore will prompt for multiple cd's. If not, split the backup files into two folders, therefore two cd's.

This is all supposing you have cd burning software such as Nero or Roxio.

As far as I know, don't need one. Your XP installation disc serves that function.

    Regards - charles
