I have both Mozilla RC2, and Netscape 6.2.3 on two of my computers, and on both of them, the back arrow quit working no matter what site I go to. Like on this site, I'll click a post, read it and the back arrow doesn't work (light shade, not dark like its available). I also have Netscape 4.79 on both and it works fine. Only on mozilla and NS6.2.3 (loaded NS7PR1 and same problem). Is there a setting in preferences that will unlock the back arrow???

    Thanks........

    Hi Swedeman,

Try deleting \chrome in your Profile directory; do not delete it from the mozilla.org program directory!

    Typically located in somewhere like
    C:\Windows\App Data\Mozilla\Profiles\username\xxxxxxxx.slt\chrome

If that doesn't work, post back. Last resort could be recreating a new
profile (not the worst thing in the world to do; converted profiles
    don't always work 100%)

Didn't work, deleted chrome from C:\windows...etc and tried it out. Same problem.
If I delete my profile, am I going to lose all the themes too?

    Aloha!

    Swedeman,

You won't lose your themes. This is how to create the new Profiles:

First: make a backup copy of your Profiles folders for both Netscape and Mozilla.

    With Netscape/Mozilla closed:

    Start|Programs|Netscape or Mozilla|Profile Manager

Create a unique Profile Name, anything but the one you currently use

    In the NEW Profile Folder:
NOTE: If it asks to overwrite the files select "YES ".

Copy all the files from the OLD profile News folder to the NEW News folder.
Copy all the files from the OLD profile Mail folder to the NEW Mail folder.
Copy your old bookmarks.html to the NEW profile folder.
Copy cookies.txt to the NEW profile folder.
Copy ABOOK.MAB and all other files with an MAB extension to the NEW profile folder. (This is your Address Book.)
Copy custom.dic to the NEW profile folder. (This is your dictionary.)

If you have any questions, please post back!

    Ramona :D

Well, I tried creating a new profile, but it acted the same way. Had to delete NS6 and Mozilla completely off the harddrive and erase all references to them in the registry, then do a completely new install for both of them. Now everything is back to normal. Plus, I saved the profiles for both in a backup folder on my D drive just in case something happens again. My son uses this computer when I'm at work, and he downloads stuff (mp3's) all the time. I usually have to clean the drive out once a week.
Anyway, thanks Ramona for your help....aloha
