AVG upgrades popular security suite, but adds toolbar??!!!

    Users need to be forewarned that AVG has seen fit to add, by default, the YaHoo! toolbar.

    Mind you, this is on the pay for version no less.

    Couple of threads on this issue one at DSLR and another at COU and my own forum

    It's even prompted a pinned thread @ COU to list others who use the same tactic.

    Vendors need to pay more attention to what BillP, of WinPatrol did.

    Thanks for the heads up. I've been eagerly awaiting 8.0 free version for a while now. At least when I install it, I'll be on the lookout for the toolbar. I've seen other folks in other forums complaining about how hard it is to get rid of the yahoo toolbar (reboots, etc. required) when they installed it unwittingly.
