I'm just curious as to other's impression's of these extremely affordable or free antivirus programs. I've had nothing but good experiences w/ them and am curious how other's feel.

Originally I had Norton AV 2000 running on all three of my home PCs, but when I discovered I'd have to pay the renewal fee for all of them I stuck Grisoft's AVG on two, I was impressed enough to install it on my father's PC, mother's PC and recommend it to a few people too, never had any complaints.

Hi , I have used both Norton and MCAFEE, they do the job that they are designed to do and I cannot see any reason to doubt them. However I also use AVG (at home), last night it stopped the Klez worm from an email that was rather sneaky as the subject line looked work related and I attempted to open the attachment , AVG clicked in and saved the day. You can run auto update with it and its free Top marks!
