AV Solution for Corporate Environment?

My supervisor wants me to check out our options re: AV solutions for our network environment. We have approximately 300 PCs, with only one-third actually logging on to the domain. Therefore, we need automated "push" updates of AV definition files, etc. Currently, we are using Symantec Anti-virus Corporate Edition 8.01.

What other software would you recommend for a CORPORATE NETWORK?

We are using Trend - both the server protect and the office scan pieces. Does a good job and great tools to track what is happening or to push updates / scans at need.

Also nice that it is so easy to set so users cannot disable or remove the AV piece.

 

Network Associates Active Virus Defence Suite includes E-Policy Orchestrator - a good tool for this kind of environment. Like Trend it can lock the client side installation

I once had a customer who was infected with all kind os viruses and tried to blame us. Turned out she was approx 6 months out of date on her virus definitions because she thought it took "too long" to update so she cancelled it every day ! Needless to say its locked her out now

 

SAVCE v9.x ???

Well, it looks like my supervisor has made the decision to stick with Symantec -- for better or for worse. He upgraded our license to v9.x late last week.

Now, my question is - Has anyone tried version 9 of the Corporate Edition?

 

I didnt know version 9 had been released yet !

And we're supposed to be a Symantec Enterprise Solutions Partner !!!!
