I have recently removed Office 2010 and put back Office 2007 but it has left some traces behind for the following programs:

    Microsoft One Note
    Microsoft Word
    Microsoft Publisher

When I put in a USB pen the AutoPlay shows the above 3 with broken icons is there any way these can be removed via a registry hack

There are some instructions for editing it manually through the registry on this page.

While those instructions are for XP and Vista, I just checked and Autoplay Handlers is in the same location in Win7.

For more resources, run a search in the engine of your choice for "edit autoplay. "
