Autoplay Dialog Box

When I insert any disk into any of the CD/DVD rom drives on my computer the Windows XP Autoplay Dialog box pops up (as it should) but it is blank. There should be options like "Play Music ", "Open a Folder to view the Files ", etc. But I have NO actions to choose from, so I just close the box and move on.

If I go to Open My Computer, right click on the CD drive, left click on Properties, and go to the AutoPlay tab, there are no Autoplay options listed, even when I scroll through the drop downs (Music CD, Blank CD, etc.). If I click on "Select an Action to Perform" (with the idea of hitting the "Restore Defaults" button) the "Restore Defaults" stays grayed out.

This has been happening for a few weeks. I've uninstalled everything I think could have caused it, including my Norton Systemworks 2005, the antivirus part of which has been buggy for months.

I'm running Windows XP SP2, and I'm fully updated. I use AVG antivirus, Adaware, and Ewido to take care of threats, so I think my system is pretty clean.

How do I fix this? Everything else is seems to be working fine.
