    Windows XP Pro SP1

We have a 16 bit dos program which runs properly on one machine with the autoexec.nt file.

On another machine we had to add an autoexec.nt file for the 16 bit dos program to work... this was a no brainer.

The problem is when the PC is rebooted, the autoexec.nt file is no longer present.

How do I check to see if some system integrity program is removing the file ?

Not sure why it wasn't there to begin with or what is removing it but a couple of thoughts:

    - when you put the file into \windows\system32 have you set it for read-only and system for file attributes?

    - will the app run OK if you put autoexec.nt into the folder that has the app? Maybe need to rename it to autoexec.bat in that case though.
