Every time I examine an MS Word doc, even if I don't actually make any changes at all, I get prompted "Do you want to save the changes to stupidfunction.doc?" OK OK I know if this is my biggest problem, I got life made, but how can I turn this annoyance off? I went into Tools/Options/Save, but none of the checking/unchecking I did, did any good.

    Thanks.

Sounds like something is busted. Try a repair.

If that fails, set the autorecovery time to 120 minutes (the max allowed) and at least you should only get annoyed ever other hour.

Or get into the habit of pressing Control s before you click out.

Thanks. After I posted, I stopped noticing this annoyance, but then it appeared again. I'll do a repair and see if that works. Thanks again.
