auto play options

    hello, when i insert a cd, with media on it designed to be played in quicktime, the autoplay box comes offering realplayer or media player (and others like take no action etc.) but not quicktime, i would like that option on the menu, any help would be great thanks

    u can also probably associate QT w/ the file type. that's either thru quicktime's file types options or find the file type in explorer and right click it. choose 'open with' and then select 'choose program'. finally check the 'always use' option box and browse to the QT .exe.

    many applications will 'take over' the file types that they have listed in their own file types associations. so ... it MAY be that u should go to all installed media players and UNassociate the file type u wish QT to own so that there is no conflict on that file type. IOW - QT and WMP 'claim' the file type .mov, and the association keeps switching each time each program is run cuz the both reclaim the type at startup. so ... u make one own it and u make the other ignore it - all thru each app's file type options.
