   I was recently given a PC used by the local Neighborhood Watch, (the Administrator Died). All my documents have the previous Administrators name as the Author. How do I get the computer to accept that I am the genius author?

   In Word - Tools > Options > User Data will set Author for future documents.
   
   For previous documents with the 'old' name right click on each .doc > Properties > Summary and alter the author name.
