audio volume

    I have lost the bar graph on the lower part of the screen that shows the status of the volume when you hit the volume control keys on my Think Pad. How do I get it back?

    Open the sounds and audio devices applet in the control panel and on the volume tab, make sure the line that says place volume icon in the taskbar is checked.
