Audio Switcher Out

    For some reason, when I try to play any music or videos there is no sound. WHen I open Itunes it says that the playback will not work. I put a dvd into my drive and it gave an error message that the audio switcher is out. I have alert sounds from my speakers but i have no idea how to fix this?? any suggestions?

    Have a look in device manager under audio, is there a yellow triangle showing.
