I'm using Windows 2000 Professional...and when I play back DVDs, the audio is scrambled  It seems to skip words, the sound is terrible.
I've downloaded all the patches & updates I can find. It doesn't matter if I used Intervideo DVD or WinDVD.

    I'm using a Toshiba Satellite 1805-S274 labtop/notebook.

    Anyone got any ideas?????

Try setting hardware acceleration (sounds & audio and it will be in there somewhere) to none and see if that helps.
