Hello all. First and foremost I'd like to thank everyone ahead of time for any help they can give me, I really appreciate it.

Now for the issue: I am reformatting a friend's computer (Dell Inspiron E1705) and am reinstalling XP and I have everything 100% running with the exception of his audio. I've done everything under the sun I can think of to get it to work but with no positive results. I tried Dell's website for the audio drivers and both of the ones it give me result in an error saying they don't support the card. I've tried belarc to scan for the hardware for it so I might manually download the appropriate driver, this also failed (it said it didn't find any audio hardware...very odd.) So if anyone knows anything I don't that could help me I would be greatly appreciative.

    Thanks!

Run Dell diagnostic software & see what hardware is installed & if it is in working order.
