I have checked those files on another system it is working fine but on my laptop it is not working properly. My system configuration is

What's the hardware of laptop ? [Though any modern computer can play audio files without any problems].

What type of audio files are you attempting to play & from where ? Is it from cd or from hard disk ?

If its from cd drive, may be the lens is not clean. If its from hard disk, run chkdsk /f & then defragment it.

What are the background programs running ?
