I'm trying to get to the startup menu and after typing msconfig, it says cannot find the file msconfig. Am I doing something wrong? Does windows 2000 use another word to access the startup menu?

It's a zip file so you'll need to unzip it first.

If you don't have an un-zipping program like WinZip or WinRar (there are a bunch out there), you can download the exe (doesn't need unzipping) from http://www.perfectdrivers.com/howto/msconfig.html.

Put it in the C:\winnt\system32 folder or in C:\winnt\ ..either one will work.
