attachemnts now greyed out.

    Hi people, I recently received 2 attahments to emails from trusted people but when I clicked on the paper clip icon they were 'greyed out'
    Can anyone think what I have done that may ahve changed this. I used to be able to save or open most attachments

    I run IE6 and OU with Windows ME.

    Check your security settings;

    In Outlook Express click on Tools, Options, Security.

    Make sure the box "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus" is not checked.

    But realise that "trusted" people doesn't mean anything!

    If a friend gets his computer infected, it will send email without his knowledge containing the virus/worm, and it will seem to be comming from a "trusted" friend......
