I have burnt some asx files onto a CD.
It seems that this CD is now only playable on my PC.
This is unfortunate as I have burnt this CD for my mother in law 85 to listen to on her CD/DVD Player.

Is there any way around this, even if I have to burn another CD?

.asx->Microsoft Windows Media Active Stream Redirector file

Seems like a weird file type to burn. Do you have the originals in mp3 or some other format ?

To my understanding, .asx is similar to .m3u and .pls file extensions.
They are shortcuts / paths to where the files are located.
