My monitor has "self-adjusted" and the left side of the screen now peeps out at me.

I looked at the ASUS website and did not find a driver specifically for the model.

What to do to get it centered back up?

Computer W10 Pro, 64 bit. I'm running the monitor in an ordinary VGA mode.

    Thanks in advance,
    Rick

You should download the appropriate video card drivers. Updating monitor's driver is not going to be of much help.

Alternatively, you can try to position the screen manually.

That you sir. I'm at home now but will the video card driver first thing tomorrow and then post an update.

Do you recommend that I use device manager tool and the Update Driver tool, or manually go to the mnf's website and do it that way?

basketcase, either would work. But I tend to favor initially installing the drivers from manufacturer's site.

If the monitor has self-adjusted, you should look at the monitor's internal OSD (on-screen display) menu - which will have nothing to do with your graphics card, or drivers. Check your monitor's manual.

Thanks again to all. I fiddled with the resolution and it corrected.

Then I dug out the manual and worked through the auto-adjust settings and everything squared up as needed.

In answer to Neil's question, I recently caught this monitor on sale and bought a second one of the same model so I would be looking at the same display at home and at work.

When I moved the older one to home it was seamless. Then two days later this one came and when I hooked it up the annoying self-adjust issue started. But it seems to be cleared up after me working the hoops noted above.

Next, the video card in the two computers are the onboard VGA cards that came from the factories, but my next move will be to install a DVI or HDMI capable card in each unit. I'll buy two of the same and again, match it all up.

In the meanwhile it seems to be cleared up. Thanks again to all for the feedback.
