I got a Dell computer with Vista. I installed XP pro on it. Now when I start the computer, it is asking me to select an operating system, but both options say "Windows XP Professional." They are the same. However, the first choice boots fine. If I choose the second one, it says something about how Windows can start because of something about hardware configuration. How can I get it to bypass this OS selection and just boot right into XP, the first choice?

Wow, OK. I just went to My Computer > Properties > Advanced > Startup & Recovery > Edit and erased the second line about Windows XP Professional in the boot.txt file and now it boots fine. Figured out my own answer! :)
