    Hi Everyone

Anyone know if there is a way to arrange items in the context menu, say via userchrome.css?

I have a feeling the answer is no, but I hope someone can provide an easy way. I suspect that you have to go into particular extensions jars and go from there.

    Thanks

    trephin,

You can edit some context menu items via the comm.jar file. One of them that I know about, is to change the order of the "Open in new Window / Open in new Tab ". What specific context menu item did you wish to edit?

    Hi trephin,

You didn't say which program you wanted to rearrange the context menus for, but you might take a look at Menu Editor 1.2. It works with both Firefox and Thunderbird, but I don't know about Mozilla or Netscape.

It has the advantage of allowing you to rearrange ALL of your menus, not just the context menus.

    Thanks all.

The extension looks great, but sadly, not Suite friendly.

I'd like to rearrange how extensions add to the context menu. I know if I install before another, I can sometimes create a different order... i just dont want to go thru the hassle of uninstalling and installing extensions.

I just created a new profile and I'm sure I'll get used to the order in time.

All the more reason to switch to the individual programs, Firefox and Thunderbird :). IMHO, two programs are better than one, in part because, as Ramona has said a number of times, you can shut one down without shutting down the other.

You can make your extension installation much easier with Mr. Tech Local Install, which works with Firefox, Mozilla, and Netscape. It allows you to install all of your extensions at one time and, presumably, in the order you choose. Use the 2.6.0 beta 4 release ... it works better than 2.5.0.
