Are they any updates or plugins for MS Publisher 2000?

I'm using MS publisher 2000 to do some websites, and found that most of the pictures in my sites were trashed after website conversion, because publisher didn't convert them properly. Anyway, I think I may have pin-pointed the problem.

When I went into "Web properties" on the file menu, I noticed that publisher was converting my documents into web pages best suited for Internet Explorer v3.0. There was a marked improvement, when I selected Internet Explorer v4.0.

I looked at Microsoft's site to see if there was an update for MS Publisher 2000, a plugin, etc, so I could boost the program's ability to convert up to internet explorer v5.0. Couldn't find anything.

If I had bought Publisher 2003, I would have to get XP, and then a new computer, and all the rest....

Would be very much appreciated if I can just find an update, which would save me a lot of hassle. Many thanks in advance.

In Internet Explorer, click on Tools then on Windows Update. On the Windows update page, click on "Office Update" (near the top of the page). On the page that opens, click on "Check for updates. "

If you've never updated Office, there will be a number of service packs and they have to be installed in order (SP 1 first, SP 2 second, etc.). Some of them are big downloads so if you're on dialup you might be better off ordering them on CD.

Once you have Office 2000 all updated, Publisher should work as you want.
