My PC, running XP Home, has 15 different user accounts. I, being Dad, am the only user that does anything to keep the system clean and performing properly. The problem for me is that when I run reg cleaners, and spyware removers, and reset services configs., etc., the changes only seem to take effect on my username. I thought maybe if I went into the registry and made myself the owner via; HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWSNT\CURRENTVERSION
that I would get the results I want. However, after making that change, I reopened the Documents and Settings folder and I still see a folder with my name as well as an Owner folder. Don't know yet if changes will be global when logged into my name; do I need to apply "my folder" to the "owner" folder? Will any of this make me the "administrator" rather than "administrator priviledges? Any help would be appreciated as it's a real pain having to get each person password and logging on to that user account to clean things up!

    15 user accounts huh!

But Dave the only way is to log in to each account to do these things.

If you set the View to show all files you could browse to Documents and settings and enter each user folder then Local settings and clear the contents of the internet temps and temp folders by hiliting and deleting. No time saved here.

But to get access to clean the user registry will reqiire logging on as that user. This means the manual steps I gave above are a waste of time since you must log on as the user anyway to clean the registry so then use the normal cleaners.

Now the tip above will work for just cleaning the temps without all the reboots and log ons.

No Joy, at least not much!

That's a shortcoming of the software you're using....

My software can let an administrator select any user on the system, and make changes to their profile. But it won't have all the options you are looking for.
