application error?

When I attempt to open a web address from an e-mail message, I get the error message: application not found. What does this mean and how do I fix it?

 

I believe I would go ahead and delete that email. From this end that seems to be a fake link, where it appears to be to a webpage, but instead starts up some sort of malware that requires user interaction to start it, such as an attachment that didn't seem to make it.
