My XP system has been working extremely well, and is fully up to date. I have recently installed SKYPE, and I relate the new error message to that software, although I may be proved wrong. My practice to to hibernate the computer. Since installaing SKYPE, it will hibernate for a few occasions, then at some stage, it will not hibernate, and gives the following Windows error message "Insufficient system recources exist to complete the API ".

Is there any action I can take to overcome this - I presume that some task is remaining open at each hibernation, which causes an increase on resources, until I do a proper shut down.

Is this a matter I should report to SKYPE (although I get the feeling they are not too strong on support). Any ideas will be appreciated.

    Thanks

There is a Hotfix for this:

The computer occasionally does not hibernate and you receive an "Insufficient System Resources Exist to Complete the API" error message in Windows XP with Service Pack 2, in Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005, or in Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005
