Apache runs just fine on windows servers. Apache security is covered in the apache manuals.

I would like to install PHP 4.3.7RC1.
    What version of apache I must have ? 2.0.49 or 1.3.31 ?

    Thanks for your help.

PHP 4.3.x works fine on Apache 2.4.9. However, note that PHP 4.x is experimental in Apache 2.

Hence, 1.3 series is the recommended version to run PHP on.

    Hope this helps :)

    Thanks for your reply.

But now I have a dubt: is it ok to install php 4.3.7rc1 or there is another version more stable and compatible with apache 2?

Or I must install apache 1.3 to have more stability and security for php 4.3.7rc1?

PHP 4.3.7 has already been official released :)

I have tested it on Apache2 and it's working fine so far...

    Thanks for your reply.

I think to install apache 1.3.31 and php 4.3.7RC1.
I would like to have more stability for my php page and if php 4.x is experimental in apache2, this isn't a good thing.

I'm not familiar with either app but you noted php 4.3.7RC1 and RC1 usually indicates Release Candidate 1 so the first version past the basic Beta testing but absolutely not a stable release version.

    Newt you're right.

But now version 4.3.7 is become a stable version, so I'll install it. :)
