Using AOL and frequently must re enter the local phone numbers to sign on. System "forgets" that I entered the three preferred local access numbers. (ver 7)

Been AOL's route, hated it.AOL really sucked. They would keep me in the dark half of the time & I was having to pay for it.
Went with Charter Pipeline's cable modem & MSN provider & never looked back.

This problem that you are having with AOL may not be their fault, but I had very bad problems with their service.

    Just my 2 cents.

 On the subject of AOL, and related problems. Has anybody else noticed that there service is getting **** lately, or is the introduction of there broadband service a reason. May be paranoid, but just a thought.

    AOL Problems

:) hello skyy,,I know its been awhile since you posted this so I hope that you get it. I hope that this is taken the right way. Everyone has to start with some kind of way to get on the Internet. I know that AOL is the brighest at capturing the "Newbies ", and I for one am glad they did. I never turned on a PC until I was 45 years old. They just made it very easy for me to get the basics for getting on-line. I think that one of the GREATEST things of the computer is the way complete strangers come and help us with our problems,,like here at Windows BBS.
I found this Forum very quickly when I started out 6 years ago. Right from the start I felt like an Idiot because I chose AOL. All I ever got was AOL *****, etc. I was just asking for help, the same way as skyy is. I eventually tried out different ISP's and found my way to a ISP I liked. Why do people at these sites (Forums) not just this one, get angry at us for using AOL. I think skyy was just asking for some help.
Skyy, I found that when I had a problem with AOL I was better off to use AOL's forums run by AOL users for any help I needed. Use AOL's "keywords" or Search for help. I just wanted to say Welcome to Windows BBS, and the people here are VERY helpful & a GREAT group, as a rule!!
    Good Luck..Paul
