aol instant messenger

    I have aol instant messenger with the program called Aim 95. In the Aim 95 file there is 465 tmp. files. Is it ok to delete these? They can also be found by tying in url cache. When I opened some of them it looks like it is the headline news for that day. Can you tell me anything about these. Thank you very much.

    You can delete them, they're cache files for the ads AIM annoys you with.

    Better yet, delete AIM, and get Trillian (www.trillian.cc). A much less intrusive program that allows simultaneous connections to AOL, Yahoo, ICQ, and MSN, and an IRC client.

    Or you can edit the aim.odl file and delete "on_group(5)" i belive. It takes the ads out of the buddy list window and leaves a blank space there.
