    Guys,

I can only use my AOL8 broadband with my 'Hardware acceleration' fully OFF (System>Performance>Graphics) otherwise it locks my PC after a couple of minutes of surfing.

This in itself is not a great problem, it just means webpages load a little bit slower and not as smoothly and scrolling is jerky, but I wonder why I should have to do this ??

    Is it a problem with my PC ? Anno3d Ge4 Ti4200 128mb AGP ? or drivers ?? Win98se ??

    Any ideas?

Quite frankly, AOL is a monster of it's own, and if you are unable to get any helpful information here, there is a dedicated AOL forum here. There's a link 'Lock up/ freezing problems' at the top of the AOL forum that suggests designating IP addresses.

See if you can get driver update for your display adapter. No guarantees that it will fix the problem, but that's usually the first course of action in a situation like this.

    Zander,

Thanks m8 - I have the latest 53.04 forceware installed, perhaps I should clock back to something earlier??
