Windows Vista anyway to stop blank page

    while online, out of nowhere, BLANK PAGE WINDOWS INTERNET EXPLORER pops up, have to go to task manager and have to end task any suggestions?

    So, if you viewing a web site like this one....Boom, you get what, another browser window or a second tab that's blank?

    Have you scanned for malware?

    Does it happen regardless of which site you might be visiting or a few in paticular?

    blank page

    thanks steve for the reply, wife plays pogo, I close it- then go to our comcast IE then it happens....have scaned with norton inernet securty, only shows 1 cookie bad, says threat is small. also the blank page will not show up on the the tool bar bad or old IE? :mad:

    Often, when you want to play free games on the internet, they ask you to agree to install their "software program" in order to play. You agree and the software turns out to be malware (redirecting your browser?). You have accepted the agreement to install the software, so...

    You may be able to remove the malware, but if your wife wants to play the game again you will most likely have to install the software again. Because they are covered by an agreement, antispyware cannot classify them as malware, you agree to the installation. Catch 22.
