    what can i use thats free besides aol. ive got internet explorer where i use yahoo, its ok but is firefox better and is it free? will it work on windows 98? any replys will be appreciated.

    That's a matter of opinion - it is certainly as good and, yes, it is free and should work with W98 AFAIK.

    Ask all questions regarding Firefox in the Netscape & Mozilla forum - moderated by Ramona - a fiery Firefox lady :D

    some people like a program called Opera which is big in Scandinavia and claims to be the innovator of much stuff.
    What you have to watch out for is alternative browsers that are really just built with explorer as their base and have the same security / spyware holes.

    I switched from IE7 to Firefox about a month ago. The features and add-ons are numerous and excellent. Firefox is also known to be much more secure than IE.
