It seems that you picked up a rare adware program. Welshjim's link will help you, you will not be able to delete until you keep it from starting up. After you delete the file, delete all IE temporary files selecting the option for Offline Content. I am moving this to Security.

    thanks

Symantec had something too, ran an antivirus scan, found it and deleted it, then cookie and temp files

moco123--Thanks for posting back. Glad to hear the good news. Strange your Antivirus did not pick this up in the first place. Remember to get the latest virus definitions at least once a week.

    thanks

Actually anti virus running in bacjkground did not. I went to the site and searched topic found a brief note and one of the things it said was to scan the computer. We do this once a week, but anyway when we did this no viruses were found but a questionable file and we were able to delete it that way
