Anyone had experience deleting a autorun.inf virus from a SD card?

I have an Autorun.inf virus on my cameras SD card. I'm Scared to plug it into the computer because it jumps on to the system. How do I stop the virus from running or jumping onto my computer and how to delete it. There are a few websites which have methods of getting rid of it, none worked that I tried and I had to just reformat the computer and accidently lost my data but I'm more concerned about this virus...

Help please! this is an impossible virus to get rid of!
