Windows Vista Any way to sort right pane of Start menu?

    By "right pane ", I mean this:
    Right Pane
    For instance, I'd like to have "Search" right under, or above "Run "
    I tried to play with it a little, but to no avail.
    Maybe there is no way, but it won't hurt to ask.

    Right click the taskbar, go to Properties. Select Start Menu then Customize. Select Sort all Programs menu by name. I think this should sort the left and right panes alphabetically. Search would logically then come after Run.

    These are 'hard coded' AFAIK and can't be moved/sorted.

    I'm sorry, but these things can't be moved. Whiskeyman was talking about the All Programs listing, which can be sorted.

    I realized that. When something in Windows is wrapped up in a nice suit, like that right side of Start menu, you can be sure, you are STUCK with it....LOL
