I have a bunch of CD's I have made of local bands, concerts, ect that are not comercial recordings - So Media play doesn't recognise them. It keeps trying to go out to WindowsMedia and search... Popping up and anoying me constantly, plus grabbing a good slice of bandwith...

Any reg key(s) to lock down mediaplayer. (v 8.0.0.4477)

Other ideas - I have been away for awhile, so forgive if I'm not up to speed.

    Hi Profgab
Have you been through tools...then options and searched under the tabs to see if you can disable it?
