I have heard that a virus/malware form of some sort is getting past many AV apps & making the infected computer display the date as January the first (or some other month & day) 2016. Does anyone know much about this? From what I can gather from some sources SUPERAntiSpyware can detect & remove this malware. Has anyone any experience of this malware or know more about it?

OK, thanks for the info Geri. I take it that it is a virus then & not a worm or other form of malware? How is it infecting computers, email attachments, drive-by or other?

    Hi
It seems that P2P file sharing is a major cause,
I have not ran into a case of it yet.

OK thanks. I have heard rumours of it infecting computers as a drive-by. Unfortunately, as the Net sometimes acts as a giant grapevine of rumours it is difficult to be sure. No need to panic I suppose...
