Antivirus: Which program to choose?

    Dear all,

    I am aware that the antivirus thread is a recurrent one and different, sometimes opposing, opinions appear around antiviruses.

    My client is a school and I wish to install the best possible antivirus for them;
    Unfortunately, we have 2Mb internet connection (we live in the Middle East) and I guess having individual antiviruses on each PC seems not to be the good option when it comes to updating; correct me if wrong.

    In my 15 years in the IT field, I used most of these antiviruses and I ended up using Free Avira; my client don't wish a FREE antivirus.

    I am browsing the net hoping to find some answer so that I choose the best possible antivirus; here's something I just read:

    I'm a quite surprise that Avira is ranked 8!
    Do i go for invidual antiviruses on reach PC? or go for a server based antivirus? Which do you suggest?

    Never bother with any reviews, because most of them are biased, one way, or another.

    I'd definitely go with an AV on each computer.
    Server based AV would be a nice addition as well.
