    Hello,

    I've been using Avast Home since few years now; lately, my USB get infected; Avast did not detect the trojans, AVG did but couldn't remove them, CA detected them and deleted them which got me thinking about which Antivirus should I use and install on my clients PCs;

    I surfed a little bit some antivirus reviews and comparative; What hit my eyes is that most users's comments differ a lot from the magazine reviews which makes my task harder.

    E.g. Many online magazines consider Kaspersky as the best; Most of them give high rank to bitdefender, norton, etc....

    What do you think about that and is there a heavy way that I can test myself some antivirus and decide for myself?

    Thanx

    As you've stated, there are many different opinions as to which products are the best. Bottom line is that none of them can protect you from the new and unknown ...... it's impossible to detect something until someone has been affected by it, submitted samples, and definitions updated.

    Seems to me you've already done some heavy testing, with very conclusive results. ;)

    Bear in mind that the most common infections these days are malware, and the line between malware and virus is very gray. The definitions for malware type infectors in antivirus solutions is therefore often found to be minimal, and even more often, insufficient.

    Vispy products

    Quite a few AV companies are now offering products that "protect" against Virus/Spyware related problems. I use Webroot's Spy Sweeper with Antivirus and also to be on the safer side, I have a router in between my modem and computers. Make sure to keep everything, and I mean everything, up to date.
