Hi guys, my brother has a Machine Shop and a few months ago he installed a server on DSL with 11 in-house stations. He purchased Panda AV and Firewall. All is working well but he has a serious spam problem. We are looking for a real good program for spam control. I am not sure what real good means but would assume it would allow the end user max control.

    Thanks mucho

SpamArrest also is a popular product.

If you have your own server I suggest SpamAssassin, which is what I have running on our servers :D

    Anti Spam

I will try that one. I am using my home computer as a test/learning bench before my brother trys it out and the Mailwasher would not work unless I took down my firewall (Kerio). With the fire wall down it seemed to work well. At least I could check my email with it. I don't know how to work my way around that problem.

I am going to try the other one after I uninstall Maill Washer

    thanks again

    Spam

I clicked on SpamAssassin, and it took me to "The page cannot be displayed "

I did a SpamAssassin search and found this spamassassin.taint.org but I am not sure that it is the correct site.

    Mail Wash

Bill, are you using the paid version or the free version. I installed it and tried to check my mail from its main window and it told me that there was a problem and it was likely the firewall. Sure nuff I took the fire wall down and it worked great. Kerio normally ask authorization for assess but it did not and I don’t read anything in their site that helps.

Two programs that are the same under different names are
    Spam Inspector
    http://www.giantcompany.com/
    or
    iHateSpam
    http://www.sunbelt-software.com/product.cfm?id=930

They sort the Spam straight into your delete box.

PC World Magazine just compared the anti-spam market leaders. They rated iHateSpam for Outlook as #1 with a whopping 4.5 Stars and awarded it the PC World BEST BUY Award with 98 percent spam caught. And in June 2003, they gave it their exclusive World Class 2003 Award: it is the best anti-spam tool of the year, and the
best selling anti-spam add-in for Outlook.

McAfee have their SpamKiller 4 and are currently beta testing a V5
    due froa Fall 2003 release
