I would like to make a slipstream installation CD for my XP Home, which is now completely up to date on all hot fixes and security patches. The problem is that I do not have broadband access and downloading SP1 would take a week!

I do have the Microsoft SP1 CD however, and all the patches are stored on my HD, and burnt to a CD.

My question is, could all these be used to make a bootable, slipstreamed CD for a quicker installation?

Sure, why not? Copy it all to your hard drive and burn it. This thread should get you started. Post back when you're done, and let us know how it went.
