Hey gang. Hoping you all can help me out here. I just got a new router for my home network, the Belkin wireless N+ (F5D6235-4). Set it up no problems with my Vista laptop (wirelessly). But when my girlfriend gets home and turns on her XP machine (wired) she can't connect. She's showing up on the network (we can share files) but I can't access the router from her pc, and she has no internet connectivity. I tried every trick in my (rather small) book: cycling the modem and router, setting up a new network, using netsh to reset the ip. No joy.

    Any thoughts?

    router

it seems that ur friend's system's ip is not of the same ip(netid)of router if ur router is configured as a dhcp server then set ur friends system's ip address on "obtain ip address automatically" in the property of ethernet card(local area connetion).then try these command
    c:\>ipconfig /release
    c:\>ipconfig /renew

    then check ur ip with
    c:\>ipconfig

if ur system gets a valid ip (192.168.1.x like)then ur problem is solved.
    try this.
