During my recent W-10 "Reset" episode, three Microsoft Visual C++ files were deleted. One was a "2005 Redistributable (x64) ". The other two were 2008, one with "x64" in the title and one with "x86. "

In my restructuring exercise, I have not re-installed them. Should I attempt to do so? I didn't bother re-installing "Classic Shell ", "iSeekAnswerworks ", "Google Sawbuck" or the stripped down "MS Office that came with the computer. The only attempted restoration that hasn't worked right was Google Earth. It installed, but I can't get a desktop clickable logo to work for it.

    Any ideas guys?

Hi Frank, I may be wrong but I would say that W10 does not require those versions. If you run a program that requires MS C+, you will probably receive a message advising of the need for it to allow the software to operate. Neil.
With Google Earth, Start > All Apps > mouse on Google Earth icon and drag and drop to Desktop > should be live accessible icon (mine works).
