I have a Windows XP system, everything has been running smooth up until a few week ago. Norton anti-virus has spotted a lot of adware on my computer. I tried to manually delete them, but they just keep comin back for more. I ran BitDefender, and it said that my system is clean of any viruses. The adware I've noticed are DMVlite, and 180 search assistant. Those two programs are so stubborn in removal. Could you please help me get rid of these programs? I will be forever thankful! :)

Here is my log from HackThis:

Disable System Restore, and reboot. This is important to do this as deleted files will reappear otherwise.

Get LSPfix.Exe. Run it, and click the "I know what I'm doing" checkbox. and move all instances of "c:\windows\system32\dolsp.dll" and "c:\windows\system32\aklsp.dll" to the remove pane (left hand) and click finish.

Remove these items in HJT with all internet browsers, and all Windows Explorer windows closed.

When done, go to RAV Online Scan and do a scan. You have a bit much there.
Surf for a bit, and then post a new log.

Here's the second log. I did everything you told me to. For some reason my computer is even worse now...it keeps shutting down randomly, and pop-ups are coming from all over.

Among other things, you have a Look2Me infection. Lets work on it first.

Please download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

    http://www.atribune.org/downloads/l2mfix.exe
    http://www.downloads.subratam.org/l2mfix.exe

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!
