Aministrator Upgrading to 8.1 via the Windows Store

    Apologies if this question has been answered somewhere else but I couldn't find where it was.

    I have three Win 8 Laptops that need to be upgraded to 8.1. If I go to the Windows Store & click on the upgrade, I get a message saying that an administrator has to do the upgrade. On all 3 Laptops, I am the Administrator.

    Any ideas? :confused:

    Hi Howard Parsons. Can you post the description of the complete error message that you get when attempting to download Windows 8.1 from the Windows Store?

    Sure. It reads:
    "You need to use an account with Administrator privileges to install Windows 8.1, try logging in with the user account of an administrator of this PC and trying the update again. "

    Punctuation and sentence construction is somewhat lacking.
