    Posting my temps wouldn't be that useful as my chips are usually viciously overclocked. I'm currently running a mobile 2600+ at 2.5Ghz. I try to keep my full load temps under 50C and would recommend the same to anyone else. I've seen instability in machines that reach 52C at full load. And when I say 50C, I mean the internal diode temp not the cpu external temp or the temp read by the silly thing that is part of the cpu socket.

    If you keep to that guideline, you should be fine. But it's hard to be specific as the factors that play into cpu temp are large in number - including the bios itself which is reading the temp.

    Riddle me this! PeteC gives his temps in Fahrenheit and I presume he's in the UK. I'm in the US and I give my temps in Celcius. Wuz up wit dat? Shouldn't it be the other way around? I can only give cpu temps in Celcius because I see them so rarely in F that I can't tell what's hot and what's not. :D But then again I'm a geek. :p

    1.66 Ghz SiS chipset one fan
    case 95 F
    mobo 116-123 (highest was 135)

    not overclocked, but run hard. My original mobo manual warns not to let the mobo exceed 150F, so I assume I've got some room!

    Hi Nyequist,

    Maybe you know all this already, but I'll put it in just in case.
    The Athlon's OPN (Ordering Part Number) can reveal all the tech details of your CPU. It will be in the form AXDA 3200 D K V 4 E, and the third letter, V in this case, specifies the maximum die temp for your CPU.
    R = 70°C ~ V = 85°C ~ T = 90°C ~ S = 95°C ~ Q = 100°C
    I hope that helps,

    Roger

    That's running full load cuz I'm with a distributed computing program that keeps it at 100% all of the time.

    Thanks Yall

    Well thanks for all the replys. With all the temps that were submitted mine was running a little high. To solve the problem I went out a purchased a Zalman CNPS3100-Plus. My temps dropped almost 10 degrees celsius. Was running 50 celsius at full load and now I run 40 celsius at full load. The temp drop was amazing, I would recommend anyone having the same probs as me to go out and pick one up.
