    I'm sorry I did not know where to post this to ask.

    My computer was kind of stuttering so I went to my Task Manager and this was running. It ran for about a minute before it disappeared. I was browsing on Facebook so maybe it was something to do with them. But my hard drive light is running constantly like it is downloading something.

    Anyway, should I be concerned? I have all my malware, spyware and firewalls up to date and nothing popped up with any warnings. I just have never seen it before. I also googled it and nothing there either.

    It would appear to be the updater for MSE - Microsoft Security Essentials.

    If you go to the file location C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download\Install you can right-click the file, go to details and verify that this is a Microsoft file with a digital signature from Microsoft.

    MSE is installed on this laptop, so that's what it is. Thanks for your help.
