    Good evening everyone,
Not sure which catergory to place this in, as there is 2 problems....

    PROBLEM 1:
I am using xp, home edition, and think i have some sort of virus...Although i have run norton anti virus 2003, spyware, malware, cw shredder, they have all come back as a negative, stating no virus has been found. But the other day when i booted up, it came up with....marketscore/c-dilla/bonzibuddy/troj/anaftp_o1...have been detected on your system..

    PROBLEM 2:
I am using norton anti virus 2003, and for some reason, AUTO PROTECT is showing as off, and also email scanning is showing as faulty.....I have tried to enable it, but it keeps switching back to not being enabled... This has all happened after PROBLEM 1 has occurred...

AM I INFECTED WITH A VIRUS???

Can anyone help...as my pc is not protected....I havent a clue what is going on.......

You've got something. Sometimes malware has a way to disabling or otherwise hide from installed protections.

Do some searches for the following: Move On Boot. This is a utility that will delete files on the next boot. Sometimes files are hard to delete because they are presently in use.

Do a search for RAV and MicroTrend. Both sites have free online scans. They quite often come up with things unable to be found with the installed jobbers because of getting jobbed by the malware.

???? That may well be the offending item. ???? Looks to me like some Trojan.

How to get rid of it I can not say.

That is malware/spyware. Download and install both Spybot and Ad-aware. Immediately update and run. Fix all Spybot finds that is prechecked. Run Ad-aware in full scan mode and delete all it finds. Reboot and do an online virus scan with RAV. Check the box to autoclean. If any files are infected and uncleanable, click the report button then copy and paste it here.

    marketscore/c-dilla/bonzibuddy/ troj /anaftp_o1...

Note the BOLD letters in the above.

This may well be a Trojan which require something like Cleaner3 from Moosoft. ( which is a Trojan hunter/cleaner ) to fix.

I have it and it has found things that others didn't.

    Cleaner3

As an added note which I forgot before.

    When doing all this checking and cleaning;

MAKE SURE the ScreenSaver is shut off.

And if you do get Cleaner3 MAKE SURE YOU CHECK DAILY for updates.

    As annother added note.

If you do get Cleaner3, there are a couple of things that do run at Startup.

    LEAVE THEM there
