I have a linksys befvp41 router. I have a PC behind the router that needs to use port 25 to send e-mail (can't be changed) but our ISP blocks port 25 so it needs to be changed to port 587 on the way out of the router. Does UpnP take care of this or port triggering?

    Thanks

Why can't you change the PC to send using port 587?
Just specify that as the smtp port in the client .

as stated in my original posting the 25 can not be changed, the application does not let you change it. Taskrunner 2.2

Read this somewhere, can't remember if this works on SMTP server, but you can try.
    Go to Taskrunner settings ...
    email tab
try the following settings for SMTP Server
    mail.myserver.com 587
    -(or)-
    mail.myserver.com:587

substitute the correct ISP domain name for myserver.com

The above is a port over-ride / redirect ... might work

You might also contact your ISP. When I switched to DSL SBC was blocking port 25, but they offered an opt out option so that you could use port 25. It only took about a day before I could start sending messages from my server.

    Just my 2 cents.
